Virtual Regatta Inshore (VRI) immerses you in real-time races, where each race lasts between 5 and 10 minutes. This simulation focuses on tactics, agility, and quick action. You’ll need to master your maneuvers, execute lightning-fast starts, and adjust your strategy according to the conditions to outpace your opponents. Ready to take on the challenge?

Challenges on Virtual Regatta Inshore are series of races designed to test your skills under specific conditions. Each challenge features a different class of boat, unique locations, and varying wind conditions. To succeed, you’ll need to deliver your best performances over a set number of races within a given timeframe. Most challenges give you 24 hours to achieve your best races, though some offer more time for more complex challenges.

The ranking is based on the average points earned in your X best consecutive races (with X being defined by the challenge). In the event of a tie, several criteria are considered:
The average of all your races (the highest being preferable).
The number of races needed to achieve your score (the fewer, the better).
The date you reached your score (the most recent being preferable).
The age of your account (the oldest being preferable).
Any missed race at the end of the challenge will count as 0 points.

In most races, the winner receives 100 points, while the last place gets 1 point. The other positions are distributed proportionally between these two scores. If you abandon or don’t finish the race, you will receive 0 points.

The eSailing World Championship is the official global virtual sailing competition, organized in collaboration with World Sailing, the International Sailing Federation. Each year, this championship brings together the best eSailing skippers for a grand final that crowns the eSailing World Champion.
